High Performance Team
ABOUT
The high performance team is intended for serious collegiate/post-collegiate athletes looking to reach their full rowing potential and pursue excellence at local, national and international trial events. Members of this group are still able to work full time and train at a high level but are expected to commit to daily coached practices and additional afternoon workouts. Several current members have come through this program and have raced for the Senior National Team as well as the Under-23 National Team.
SCHEDULE
Daily coached practices are Monday – Friday 6:00 – 7:45 am; Saturday 7:00 – 9:30 am, with afternoon workouts on your own. Typically there are 7 – 10 scheduled workouts per week.

FLEET
Undine has a world class fleet new Filippi singles, doubles and quads. The club ensure these top of the line shells are in excellent condition and the “A Class” boats are prioritized for for the high performance team.
Undine provides free coaching to its high performance team. While several other programs charge thousands of dollars for daily in housed coached sessions, Undine provides it to the committed team. There are currently two coaches Joe Quaid and Mike Naughton for the daily sessions. Coach Mike facilitates the Monday and Friday morning sessions, while Coach Joe Quaid is present for the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Sessions. Sundays are an off day unless there is a regatta and Wednesday is an ad hoc practice facilitated by the athletes themselves. Coach Quaid or Mike Naughton are present at the out of town regattas for Trials events, Canadian Henley as well as Head of the Charles.
RACING FEES
For the athletes that commit to the rigorous daily training schedule, all racing and trailer fees are paid by the club.
Undine is a non profit organization that heavily relies on its members to give back to ensure the club can be run effectively. Because of all the benefits associated with the High Performance Team, this team is expected to volunteer throughout the year at club wide dinners, boat house clean ups, castle clean ups and other events.
